Join me on this 12 month journey to support my Mom and others diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
Friends, family, runners, co-workers, and my 6th degrees of separation, guess what begins today? Life! Many of you know my passion for running and that I have been committed and motivated through fitness since I received my first track and field ribbons at the age of 6. Running has navigated me through low and high moments in life. It has provided balance and well-being but mostly has been instrumental to my daily connection of living life.
Meandering around on foot, contemplating, enjoying the outdoors, laughing, and meeting others through a sport that is rich in tradition. It provides so many life changing benefits for those who participate. Hopefully, most have felt what its like to be ‘in the zone’.
What I wish for is that we recognize how running can impact others less fortunate in health. We seem to all be touched by cancer in one way or another. Those who need our spirit, smiles, and optimistic attitudes, we are here for you. We run for you more often than you know, our steps are countless. And in return, we receive hope and perspective from your strength and endurance toward your fight to become cancer free.
MY GOAL-to raise $100 per mile that I run for 12 Marathons.
Please take a moment to listen to my theme song, WE CAN, by the fabulous artist, Jesse Ruben:
